PMC Practice & Tune Day · PMC Solo Event (Points Event)
Autocross in plain English
Autocross takes place on a large paved parking lot or asphalt area where cones create a temporary course. You drive your own car and try to complete each timed run as quickly and cleanly as possible. Vehicles are released separately, so there is no wheel-to-wheel racing. In the United States, autocross is also commonly called Solo; PMC uses Autocross as the primary name so first-time drivers immediately understand the sport. Experienced PMC instructors will be available to help drivers improve technique, car control, safety awareness, and confidence behind the wheel.
The PMC difference
PMC assigns approved Event Staff to Corner Stations so registered drivers can focus on driving and useful time on the Course.
PMC prioritizes meaningful seat time and the longest practical configurations when venue and safety conditions allow.
First-time drivers receive clear guidance, a friendly atmosphere and access to experienced instructors.
Every run is officially timed in both formats, making it easy to measure progress.
Approximately 6 of the 8 planned 2026 events are expected to be PMC Solo Events that count toward official Season Standings. Year-end awards will be presented in every class based on those standings. The full-year goal is approximately 24 events.
Tech Inspection, Course Walk, Driver Meeting, Safety Briefing and a controlled first release from the Start Line are required.
PMC welcomes autocross drivers from across South and Central Florida, including the Treasure Coast, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Space Coast, Sebring and Orlando areas. These areas describe the drivers we welcome, not confirmed event locations.
